Mark Polson
With over two decades of experience leading technology ventures from inception to acquisition, Mark Polson is a technologist, strategist, and investor known for transforming innovation into impact. He has founded and led multiple companies across software, renewable energy, and advanced materials—guiding technologies from concept to commercialization and building systems designed for sustainable growth.
As CEO of Altris, Mark drives the development and integration of breakthrough renewable and water technologies, including advanced solar thermal systems, next-generation engine designs, desalination platforms, and high-efficiency nano-flocculation systems. His leadership combines technical insight with global perspective, aligning cutting-edge innovation with large-scale infrastructure and environmental stewardship.
Before founding Altris, Mark built Code Greene, a digital innovation firm that designed and scaled dozens of applications—achieving successful exits and collaborating with high-growth companies such as Skullcandy, Mozy, and TruClinic. His experience spans product architecture, market strategy, and operational transformation across more than 30 ventures, including one sold to a publicly traded company.
Recognized for his visionary mindset and cross-disciplinary expertise, Mark bridges the worlds of technology, finance, and sustainability—continually uncovering the “needles in the haystack” of innovation and turning them into engines for planetary progress.
Jay Lappen
With more than 25 years of experience in the medical technology industry, Jay Lappen has built a career defined by leadership, performance, and transformation. He began with major global MedTech companies, mastering market development, clinical sales leadership, and national training programs that consistently exceeded growth targets. Over the past decade, he transitioned into the start-up ecosystem—building, scaling, and leading high-performance teams that turned novel technologies into commercial success stories.
Jay has led award-winning sales organizations from 12 to over 60 direct reports, creating cultures of accountability and excellence. His expertise spans strategic commercialization, market access, and integrated training systems that drive both adoption and revenue velocity.
As Chief Commercialization Officer at Altris, Jay brings his operational versatility to bear—spearheading global partnerships, overseeing complex infrastructure initiatives like the 3GW Zambia PPA, and developing the internal systems that fuel Altris’ rapid growth. Known for his relentless work ethic, strategic clarity, and ability to unify cross-functional teams around ambitious goals, Jay continues to shape the intersection of innovation, commercialization, and impact.
Durrel Ashby
Durell Ashby is a Mechanical Engineer and inventor who has spent 25+ years in the Oil and Gas, and Energy Industries, both domestically and internationally. He has a broad range of experience in research (patents granted and patents pending), design, development, and optimization of equipment and manufacturing for the Energy and Oil and Gas industries. He has had opportunities to lead engineering teams, business development teams, and manage regional business segments for large organizations in the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East. Working and living internationally has given him the opportunity to see how energy is so vital to the well-being of all people on the planet. These experiences have led him to seek better, more efficient technologies in the generation, transportation, and storage of energy that can be safely scaled to meet the needs of the whole planet.
Robert Mitchell
With more than 30 years of executive leadership across the global medical technology industry, Robert D. Mitchell has built a distinguished career guiding both public and private companies through innovation, expansion, and successful exits. He has held senior roles spanning operations, commercialization, and venture development, bringing deep expertise in scaling disruptive technologies into established markets.
Mr. Mitchell served as President and CEO of Nellix Inc., a Palo Alto-based medical device company pioneering endovascular treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysms. He led the company to a successful acquisition by Endologix (NASDAQ: ELGX), where he subsequently served as President. Prior to Nellix, he was COO and Executive Vice President of AngioDynamics (NASDAQ: ANGO), overseeing the acquisition of RITA Medical, and Chairman and CEO of Millimed Holdings in Denmark, where he advanced next-generation drug-eluting technologies for vascular disease.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Mitchell spent 16 years with Cook Medical, the world’s largest privately held medical device company, where, as Senior Vice President, he directed multiple global divisions generating over $1B in annual revenue. He later joined Align Technology (NASDAQ: ALGN) as Executive Vice President, contributing to the worldwide commercialization and success of the Invisalign® brand.
Today, Mr. Mitchell leads RDM Enterprises LLC, managing a portfolio of companies and strategic investments across healthcare, venture capital, and sustainable infrastructure. He is a Founding Partner of the FF20 Fund, Senior Advisor to TVM Capital in Dubai, and a co-founder of Summit Life Science Partners, an early-stage medical device venture fund. In addition to his corporate leadership, he has advised more than 20 healthcare and humanitarian organizations, served on numerous boards, and been a keynote speaker and program director at leading global conferences, including Charing Cross in London.
Mr. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of Utah and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is also a partner in the North Lake Powell Development Project, a sustainable real estate and technology initiative showcasing next-generation advances in energy, water, and construction innovation.
